29 Judges Have Been Appointed by Decrees of the President of Ukraine

Following consideration of the recommendations of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine and the submissions of the High Council of Justice, 29 judges were appointed to the local courts, courts of appeal and to the High Anti-Corruption Court on August 21, 2026 by Decrees of the President of Ukraine Nos. 782/2026–796/2026:

2 candidates were appointed following the results of the competition for the local courts, announced by the Commission on September 14, 2023:

  • Volodymyr Kolomiiets to the Brovary City and District Court of Kyiv Oblast (recommended for the position of a judge on February 18, 2026);
  • Yelyzaveta Lukianenko to the Osnovianskyi District Court of Kharkiv City (recommended for the position of a judge on November 04, 2025).

3 judges whose terms of office have expired following the end of their five-year appointments:

  • Kateryna Kotelva, a judge of the Halytskyi District Court of Lviv City;
  • Maksym Khodakivskyi, a judge of the Sobornyi District Court of Dnipro City;
  • Yurii Tsiukalo, a judge of the Commercial Court of Kyiv City.

8 candidates were appointed following the results of the competition for the courts of appeal, announced by the Commission on September 14, 2023:

  • Tetiana Brus to the Zaporizhzhia Court of Appeal (recommended for the position of a judge on December 22, 2025);
  • Stanislav Kyrychok to the Chernihiv Court of Appeal (recommended for the position of a judge on December 22, 2025);
  • Volodymyr Lebezhenko to the Chernihiv Court of Appeal (recommended for the position of a judge on December 22, 2025);
  • Olena Prachuk to the Chernihiv Court of Appeal (recommended for the position of a judge on December 22, 2025);
  • Oleksandr Rublia to the Transcarpathian Court of Appeal (recommended for the position of a judge on December 08, 2025);
  • Viktoriia Sova to the Transcarpathian Court of Appeal (recommended for the position of a judge on December 08, 2025);
  • Olha Umanska to the Mykolaiv Court of Appeal (recommended for the position of a judge on May 20, 2026);
  • Ivan Yasynovskyi to the Sixth Administrative Court of Appeal (recommended for the position of a judge on August 15, 2025).

16 candidates were appointed following the results of the competition for the High Anti-Corruption Court, announced by the Commission on June 03, 2025:
