The Fourth Stage of the Qualification Exam Has Been Scheduled (Completion of a Practical Assignment in the Specialisation of the Relevant Court)

Please be informed, that on September 19, 2025, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine took a decision to schedule the fourth stage of the qualification exam (completion of a practical assignment in the specialisation of the relevant court) for candidates for the positions of local court judges and for judges who have expressed their intention to be transferred to another local court, as well as to establish the schedules for this stage.

If a participant’s surname listed in the schedule is incorrect, for example due to a name change, it is necessary to promptly inform the Commission by phone at (044) 233-63-85 and bring to the examination stage a document confirming the name change.

To facilitate the participation of candidates and judges who are military personnel in the fourth stage of the qualification exam, the Commission has decided that, upon a written request from a participant who serves in the military, the date of completing the practical assignment may be changed within the established schedules for each specialisation individually.

The practical assignment will be completed at the premises of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, located at: 9, Generala Shapovala Street, Kyiv.

The practical assignment for the relevant court specialisation will be carried out using computer equipment.

  • Duration of the completion of practical assignment for the relevant court specialisation: 180 minutes.
  • Maximum possible score at the stage of completion of practical assignment for the relevant court specialisation: 150 points.
  • Participants within one specialization complete one Type 2 task.

According to the established Methodological Guidelines, the practical assignment completed during the qualification exam shall be evaluated on a 75-point scale.

To align the score obtained by a participant in the information system with the maximum possible score of 150 points, a coefficient of 2 is applied.

The passing score for the fourth stage of the qualification exam (practical assignment) is 75% of the maximum score, i.e., 112.5 points.

Individual codes for completion of practical assignment in the specialisation of the relevant court are determined randomly using an automated generation method (with the help of an information system).

The workplace for completion of the practical assignment in the specialisation of the relevant court is determined randomly using the blind selection method by the participant from among the printed and randomly hidden options placed in front of him/her.
