
On February 21, 2025, in Odesa, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine Andrii Pasichnyk, Commission member Roman Kydysiuk and legal professionals, dedicated to the selection of candidates for the position of a local court judge.
The meeting was held in a Questions and Answers format, which allowed potential candidates to receive comprehensive information on submitting documents for participation in the selection, the specifics of filling out the application form, qualification requirements for candidates, and the procedure for evaluating the knowledge and integrity of future judges.
Andrii Pasichnyk spoke about the benefits of open communication with the legal community, emphasizing that participation in the competition is an opportunity for professionals to join the reform of the judicial system.
The questions mainly concerned the testing procedure, calculation of experience and its confirmation, the most common mistakes in filling out documents that should be addressed, and training at the National School of Judges of Ukraine after the competition.
The meeting in Odesa, organized by the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine in partnership with the Ukrainian Bar Association, was the fourth to be held after Lviv, Dnipro and Kharkiv. The purpose of these events is to provide lawyers with detailed information on the selection of judges to local courts and to explain the importance of replenishing the judiciary with new professionals.
The final session of the Commission on this selection will be held in Kyiv on February 28, 2025, including online. (in Ukrainian)
Please be reminded, in December 2024, the Commission announced the selection of judges to local courts with a projected number of 1,800 vacancies. The deadline for submitting an application and documents for participation in the selection is from March 01, 2025, to March 30, 2025 (inclusive). The period for submission of documents for military personnel is from March 01 to May 01, 2025 (inclusive).
