Oleksii Omelian was appointed as a member of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine from among judges by the decision of the High Council of Justice dated
June 1, 2023.
He graduated from the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in 2001, with a degree in law.
Prior to his appointment as a member of the Commission, he did military service in the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, worked as a judge assistant in the Supreme Court of Ukraine and as a Disciplinary Inspector of the Commission.
He was appointed as а judge of the Commercial Court of Zhytomyr Oblast by the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated July 31, 2012.
Oleksii Omelian is a member of the Second Chamber and of the Second Panel of the Commission. He participates in working groups, established to coordinate certain areas of the Commission’s activities.
